Commander-in-Chief: The Connection Between the H.M.S. Resolute, the President’s Desk, the Great Seal of the United States, and the Rule of Law Under God.
This is the story of the real
origin and meaning of the President’s Desk and of the Great Seal of the United
States carved on its front panel—and the story of the origin and meaning of the
Constitution of the United States (the Godly Constitution), as well.
A 21st-century movie portrays the United States Coat of Arms on the Presidential
Seal as being stamped on the President’s Desk that was made out of wood taken
from the H.M.S. Resolute (a ship commanded by Captain Sir Edward Belcher). This
story is not all fiction, however: there is a real connection between the
President’s Desk and the Great Seal of the United States that really is carved
on the Desk (but on the Desk’s front panel). The story of that connection
between the Resolute’s commander, Sir Edward Belcher (including the story of his
role in the discovery of the fabled Northwest Passage), the President’s Resolute
Desk, the Great Seal of the United States, the Constitution of the United
States, and the rule of God’s moral law is the subject of this book. It is God’s
moral law that is the foundation of the U.S. Constitution.
